Plants at the heart of an original artistic performance
A fusion between the plant world and the human

Our group offers you awareness of communication in the plant kingdom.
A live show combining the melody of plants, with pianist and singer Maria Angeles Cuevas , and the magic of dance with Audrey Vallarino, who enhances and brings the space to life.
The movement creates a link between the two worlds.
A fusion between plant and human.
It’s an incredible multi-sensory immersion that is offered to the public!
A transdisciplinary performance combining science and art where the public will discover this universe by also attending a conference given by Renaud Ruhlmann , researcher in electrophysiology.
A stage edge will be provided between the artists and the audience to exchange feelings.

This original idea emerged from the meeting of three artists:
Maria Angeles Cuevas , musician,
Audrey Vallarino , dancer and
Renaud Ruhlmann , researcher in electrophysiology.
Driven by a common desire and appropriate technical means, they offer plants the role of artist and thus place at the heart of the performance the notions of environmental preservation and the intelligence of living things.
Using a device that measures and analyzes the electrophysiological signals of a living organism and transposes them into sound signals, it is now possible to hear part of the biological communication of a plant.
To access one's score in this way is to be able to create a new form of living art.
This whole process will be explained in detail during the conference.
Thanks to technology, the plant expresses itself through high-quality sounds that are offered to it throughout the performance.
The instruments were selected from the best current libraries of digital sounds. The piano, vocals, and movement then interact with them, creating a unique choreographed musical work.

We can intervene in all types of locations:
-Botanical Gardens
-Performance hall
-Festivals
-Schools
In two different ways depending on the audience:
All audiences:
- A presentation/conference combining science
and art in order to introduce plant communication
and artistic practices with plants thanks to our device.
- A live performance with plants and artists lasting 40 to 45 minutes with different poetic tableaux.
"I believe that to inhabit the world poetically is to inhabit it also and first of all in a contemplative way. Contemplating is a way of taking care... Looking at and being moved by the absence of difference between what is in front of us and us. I have here before my eyes, in this forest, something that is much richer than anything a museum could ever offer. In order, a bit of moss, a little further away some brambles, a fern that the sun passes through like a stained-glass window. What better way to do than to greet those who are in the passage with us? It would be beautiful to build a whole conversation around this fern..." Christian Bobin
Total duration: 1h30

Renaud Ruhlmann
A trilingual, multidisciplinary self-taught artist involved in the world of music for almost 25 years,
Renaud works to revalue the fundamental function of sound: therapeutic.
Thanks to his applied research in electrophysiology and botanical sound therapy that he has been developing for more than 5 years, he can combine his field knowledge and his ecological convictions with this broader vision of life through awareness of plant communication.
His passion for transmitting the fruits of his research into living things and vibration naturally led him to develop the first sound herbalism and to open up new sound and musical applications thanks to the revolution of sound communication with plants in the fields of art but also well-being and cooking.
An amateur musician for 27 years, he has played in various contemporary music groups in Franche-Comté (Experimental Karma System, Le carnet des curiosités, Blue Job, etc.) and has produced solo sound works, including a tribute to Le Corbusier with remixes by Ianis Xenakis for the entry of the Ronchamps chapel into UNESCO in 2016, or made the Paulownia of Le Corbusier's Villa Le Lac sing in 2022 for the Riviera Museums Night.
Renaud also worked as a photographer for 12 years, primarily for the music industry. He has exhibited his film works around thirty times in France, as well as in Germany, Switzerland, Macedonia, Mexico, and Guatemala.
Renaud knows how to master digital and analog creation tools and has been developing projects around communication with plants for 4 years, such as the creation of sound herbalism (2019), the musical project "ЯRacine", the "WaterGang" with the Dutch musician Bert Barten and l'âme agit.
